DTLA City Walk

Welcome to the City of Angels video (2:05)

Downtown LA City Walk: The 2-3 hour city walk provides opportunity for participants to not just drive through a city but to walk in a city and experience the city through God’s lens.  City walks introduce us to God’s heart for and presence in cities! God loves cities (both people and place). God’s story of humanity starts in a garden but ends in a city (Dr. Ray Bakke). City walks begin the conversation about cities.

We walk in downtown LA and see the city through the lens of God while visiting various monuments, neighborhoods and key locations in the city. We learn about God’s heart for cities including LA and we engage the city of past, present and future through observation and interaction via various activities and questions. This walk provides an overview of LA history, tools for understanding and engaging with cities and details regarding city systems. Participants have the opportunity to walk in downtown LA as an onramp to discovering God’s love for this and other cities and gain an understanding of why we should care about cities.

These city walks are available for all ages. Please come hydrated and wear comfortable clothes & closed-toe walking shoes.
